About Hackney Aquatics Club

Hackney Aquatics Club aims to be your swim club for life: an inclusive, encouraging and enjoyable competitive swimming club. We are committed to delivering a high quality aquatics programme for the local community. We swim at stunning local pools, including the iconic London Aquatics Centre, home of the 2012 Olympic Games.

In partnership with Anaconda Swimming Club and our shared Director of Swimming, we work to maximise opportunities for all of our stakeholders.

Our programme goes well beyond the traditional competitive swimming club approach and includes opportunities for young people to exercise and acquire skills and confidence both in and outside the water. We have a superb team of coaches who are highly trained and develop our athletes through a wide range of techniques including video analysis.

We encourage our swimmers to take part in a physio-led land training programme, which also includes yoga. For our older swimmers we offer opportunities to volunteer and learn new skills, including gaining relevant teaching and coaching qualifications.

Membership is open to all, and in particular serves young people and adults from Hackney, Shoreditch, Stoke Newington, Islington and other nearby London boroughs. Our Masters Squad caters for swimmers of all ages ranging from 18 to 80.

HAC is a high quality Swim Mark accredited club managed entirely by volunteers.  It aims to deliver dedicated aquatics sports for Hackney from beginner to national level working in partnership with Hackney Council.
