Support the Hackney Aquatics Community Day

We are excited to announce our upcoming Community Day 30th June 2018! The aim is to share our passion and enthusiasm for swimming, and the achievements of the club with the local community. Date and Location The event will take place from 3pm until late, Saturday 30th June 2018 in London Fields, London Fields West Side, London E8 3E with a sponsored swim event taking place in the pool itself. Swim the Thames! A sponsored swim open to all club members and parents, with the goal of our total distance swum equalling or exceeding the length of the River Thames (346 km). Triathlon Aces train with Hackney Aquatics

To be successful at Triathlon, a sport that comprises 3 disciplines, namely swimming cycling and running, any athlete must have an intensive and disciplined training routine. This can certainly be said for brothers Aurel and Abel Sinko Uribe who train with Hackney Aquatics in the Competition Youth Squad for their swimming component of the event. Last year Abel became part of the Hungarian National team and achieved 1st place in the Hungarian Team Championships and won 2 of the races in the Hungarian National Series, while also making his international debut racing on the European cup scene. Abel has a big year 2018 ahead of him as he is aiming to qualify for the youth European Championships

London Regional Youth Summer Championships

The bank holiday weekend saw Hackney Aquatics Youth swimmers (age 14 upwards) competing at the Regional Championships against the better swimmers across London. The team were exceptional and have made incredible progress during the last 3 years. Since Head Coach Rick Hall joined in September 2015, the improvement has been evident. 2016– 5 swimmers, 0 medals, 2 top ten finishes 2017- 9 swimmers, 2 medals 10 top ten finishes 2018– 18 swimmers, 15 medals 45 top ten finishes. A total of 9 silver and 6 bronze medals were won (including the male 4 x 200 freestyle relay team). This year the Hackney Aquatics placed 10th.
