Success at Age Group Counties: 12 individual top 8s, 84 PBs, 3 Gold, 2 Silver and 3 Bronze medals

Congratulation to all of our swimmers who competed at the 2017 Middlesex Age Group County Championships. Every swimmer represented the club’s focus on skilful racing and additionally created a very supportive and focused atmosphere which helped to produce great results.
Mika Ogden was our top performer with 3 Golds in the 100m IM, 100m Back, 50m Fly and Bronze in the 50m Back. Mika also had top 8 finishes in the 200m Back, 100m Fly, 100m Free and 200 IM. Mika was also a part of the 11 y/o Girls Relay team that won 2 silvers .Isla Silva achieved Bronze in the 200m IM and 4 top 8 finishes – narrowly missing a finals appearance in the 100m Free during a dramatic swim off. Isla was also a part of the 11 y/o Girls Relay team that won 2 Silver medals. Ley Ito won an individual Bronze in the 100m Breast, also achieving top 8 results in the 50m and 200m Breaststroke events.Other members of the 11 y/o Girls Relay team that won Silver medals in both the 4x50 Free and Medley include Cressida Taggart, Heidi Braybrooks and Aranka Serfozo-Celik.
Overall Hackney Aquatics Club achieved 12 individual top 8s, 84 PBs, 3 Gold medals, 2 Silver and 3 Bronze.
Also taking part in individual events and achieving PBs were: Bryan Piedra, Milo Endres, Henry Whitehead, Ronni Phillimore, Stella Thomas-Epstein, Thomas Archer, Freya Duckworth, Amelie Brine
