To be successful at Triathlon, a sport that comprises 3 disciplines, namely swimming cycling and running, any athlete must have an intensive and disciplined training routine. This can certainly be said for brothers Aurel and Abel Sinko Uribe who train with Hackney Aquatics in the Competition Youth Squad for their swimming component of the event.
Last year Abel became part of the Hungarian National team and achieved 1st place in the Hungarian Team Championships and won 2 of the races in the Hungarian National Series, while also making his international debut racing on the European cup scene.
Abel has a big year 2018 ahead of him as he is aiming to qualify for the youth European Championships in Greece, he also wants to win the age group national championships in Hungary, but the biggest goal of his season is to qualify to represent Hungary in the Youth Olympic Games Triathlon in Argentina.
Aurel’s most recent achievement is coming 3rd in the British National Triathlon Test event in Loughborough.
Aurel’s goal moving forward in 2018 is to qualify for the European Junior Championships representing Hungary, and to take part and race competitively in European triathlon cup races.
Both boys train upwards of 20 hours a week and enjoy training together and pushing each other. They get their training plan sent to them by Tibor Lehmann of Tiszaujvaros Triathlon Club in Hungary and follow the cycling and running plan they have while training with Hackney Aquatics for swimming.
