HAC Pick Up 2 Awards at the London Region Swimming Awards

The London Swimming Awards took place this Saturday and Hackney Aquatics walked off with two of the four awards:

The first was the main prize - Club/Team of the year for making an outstanding contribution to swimming in London - with the club being presented with the Jeff Cook Salvour.

The second was the Flo Barnes Trophy awarded to Young Volunteer and now Junior Coaches, Avian Durcan and Isabella Rose who won the female volunteers of the year, both for their personal efforts and as representative of our outstanding Young Volunteer Programme.

Both these awards are a tribute to the huge efforts so many people have put in to make HAC such an outstanding club both in the pool and off it. Particularly notable for the judges is the extent to which the club has become so diverse and contributed so much to the wider community. We are very proud of our efforts to live up to the three goals we set ourselves: a club for life, a club as an integral part of the local community and a club of swimming excellence competitively.
