February Swimmer of the Month
Well done to our February 2019 Swimmer of the Month winners. The SOTM is awarded to swimmers who work hard, show great performance in training and competition, have a good attendance record, demonstrate great team spirit, and are respectful and well-mannered to each other and their coaches.
Academy - Margot Maynard Newman (HAC 1)
Margot does two sessions a week with us (Sunday/Monday) attending every session. She always interacts with the lesson including asking questions about what she needs to do to improve. She will always count her strokes even when we don’t tell her to, and she always works hard on her skills and technique.
Junior (age 12/under)- Emma Arpesani (Competition Development)
Emma is a diligent swimmer who often asks Tony or Richard how she can improve. Emma may not always be first in the lane but is the leader in the group, making sure everyone is going off the right time. Even if Emma is not feeling at her best she will be honest to tell her coach which allows him to set her goals for the session.
Senior (age 13+)– Ronni Phillimore (Performance Youth)
Ronni has trained fantastically well this month and is seeing big improvements in her training times (including improvements in all her recent test sets). Although Ronni may not be the fastest in the squad, she works incredibly hard to achieve her goals and often pushes others within the sessions. Despite setbacks, she has always stayed positive and continued to work hard.
