The club continues to monitor the Coronavirus situation and is following advice from Government and Swim England. At this stage we have no plans for any changes to our training schedule.
It is likely that we will see some form of disruption over the coming months which include both regional and national level target competitions as well as British Champs. Training will, as much as possible, continue as normal. We are in continuing talks with GLL , our leisure providers, and will let you know if there any planned closures of pools.
We would like to remind all members:
Please follow the latest Government advice relating to the spread of Covid-19 at all times - you can read it here
Read and follow the hygiene precautions to help reduce the spread of infection here.
If you or your family have been asked to self-isolate then do NOT attend training.
News about our Easter camp to Mallorca.
Jet2 has cancelled all flights to Spain and the Balearic islands until at least 24th March and the Spanish Government has put the country on lock down. This follows on from advice we received on Friday from SwimEngland, that the government advice not to take under 18s abroad should also apply to all swim club travel. Unless any of this advice changes in the coming days, we will be unable to take our swimmers to Mallorca.
We are currently talking to the travel organisers about our options in terms of insurance / refunds and will of course let you know as quickly as we can. We will also keep you updated about any changes to the advice we are receiving.
