Squads

Back by popular demand, these skills clinics are for ACADEMY and REGIONAL squads and are now Open for COUNTY squads as well. Spaces will be offered on a first come, first serve basis.

Coach

The programme is led by Level 3 national coach Wayne, our expert coaching team will run two pool sessions each day with dedicated land training and video analysis.

What to bring

Swimmers will need to bring their swim kit (costume, hat, goggles, board, pullbuoy, paddles and fins if they have them), a water bottle and light lunch to help fuel their day.

Timings*

08:30 - 08:50 Academy, County and Regional - Arrive, registration, introduction and welcome

County swimmers will either be following the schedule of Academy or Regional based on ability and decided on the day.

09:00 - 10:30 Academy - Swim Session 1 (topic covered e.g. free and fly or starts/turns)

10:45 - 12:00 Academy - Team talk (e.g. performance profiling, goal setting, nutrition, race strategy)

09:00 - 10:15 Regional - Land Training, pre-pool and light body weight strength training

10:30 - 12:00 Regional - Swim Session 1

12:00 - 13:00 Academy and Regional Lunch - time to relax, refuel and recharge

13:00 - 14:30 Academy - Swim Session 2 (topic covered e.g. back and breast or pull out practice)

14:45 - 16:00 Academy - Video Analysis

13:00 - 14:15 Regional - Video Analysis

14:30 - 16:00 Regional - Swim Session 2

16:00 Academy, County and Regional - Estimated end time

Fees

We are aiming to keep prices accessible for as many people as possible to be able to benefit from the sessions and can offer these sessions for £60 per day, £100 for two days and £160 for all four days.

Payment will be required in advance and support may be available for swimmers in the access programme. HAC members please contact the treasurer in confidence here if you would like to apply for the access programme.
